Doing some more researching on new and upcoming Web 2.0 technologies specifically for 2011, I came across a review online entitled 'Social Networking 2011 Style!' They were introducing a new site much like Twitter apparantly, it is called 'Tumblr.com', I have book marked the page below, check it out and let me know what you think. Looks along very similar lines to twitter itsself, it has longer letter bursts than Twitter, but with more of the video and pic sharing of Facebook, of which I am already a user. Wonder whether it is something that will take off or is it just too similar?

Tumblr is good for visual blogs and posts with minimal text. Good for beginners. Interface could be much more utilitarian. Limited design controls for semi-experienced bloggers. Light on page elements.
